Grant Wattie

Grant serves as a senior executive coach, counsellor and strategic advisor.  His functions include executive coaching, senior executive counselling grant1and leadership development.

Accomplishments include, working with the Malaysian Prime Minister, the NZ Governor General and Malaysian Royal Family. Grant received the Bernardo O’Higgins award, the highest honor given to a foreign dignitary by the Government of Chile. Grant’s recently authored book includes his own proprietary leadership development and coach training methodology.

He has a unique blend of skills from a career in corporates, not for profit, private enterprise and technology start-ups. His broad work experience is supported by training in executive coaching, behavioral science, leadership development, counseling, relationships and human behavior over a 28 year career. Grant’s specialty is in working with leaders to improve performance, leadership effectiveness and strengthen communication and relationships. Grant’s work helps leaders transform the quality of their professional and private lives.

Grant started his career at age 22 managing a 50 acre orchard partnership after completing a horticulture science degree. He then moved on to a career in financial services including senior roles with AXA and Prudential. Grant’s passion for coaching was sparked, and lead to a lifelong interest in personal and professional development.

Grant also founded a portrait photography franchise, a CRM software company, and a joint-venture in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Grant’s career focused on helping others live richer lives. To support this he completed a diploma in Counselling and is a registered NZ counsellor with thousands of hours of client experience. Grant with his wife Christine are co-founders of Aroha Leadership delivering leadership programs and executive coaching for corporate clients and government. Grant held tenures working with an international management consultancy specialising in strategic leadership transformation, a country manager to establish an international executive coach and coach training organisation in Australia and President of N2growth a boutique management consultancy in Australia.

In 2013, Grant co-founded  the Global Women’s Leadership Summit, one of the world’s largest events with over 60 leadership experts and 6,000 participants.
